TREATMENT FINDER

Slipping and sliding dentures can be a huge source of embarrassment and stress

Put this all behind you with a strong set of implant-retained dentures, which provide a natural look and fit.

Introducing you to Implant-retained Dentures

Treatment objective: Replace missing teeth/old dentures with a strong, tooth-like solution.

Duration of results: Long-term solution. 10-20+ years.

Process: Surgical implantation of multiple false tooth roots under local anaesthetic. Placement of a set of custom-made dentures.

Nature of treatment: Restorative treatment. Local anaesthetic + optional conscious sedation.

Implant-retained dentures are an upgrade to traditional dentures, giving you better chewing ability, and a more natural-looking and feeling smile.

They can be used to replace several (or all of your teeth), and many patients also choose to swap out their old dentures for new implant-supported types.

Implant-retained-denture treatment involves having multiple implants placed. These implants support a full arch of teeth, setting them sturdily in place.

Life Benefits

  • A restored smile that looks natural.
  • Improve oral health and hygiene.
  • Long-lasting alternative to traditional dentures.
  • Significantly better chewing and biting ability than conventional dentures.
  • Implants are the most toothlike solution available.
  • Your custom dentures sit over your gum line, providing a tooth-like fit.

Treatment Steps

  1. Examination & Planning. Your dentist will perform a full examination of your teeth and gums. Clinical photographs and digital 3D scans will be taken to fully establish the complex anatomy of your jaw and soft tissue structures. This technology allows your dentist to be as accurate as possible when placing your implants.
  2. Implant surgery. At a second appointment, your implants are placed under local anaesthetic. Following surgery, your implants will need to heal for approximately 3-6 months (dependent on a range of factors including healing response, lifestyle, and age).
  3. Your bespoke set of dentures. Once your implants have healed, dental impressions are taken. The dental technician will use these to create dentures that are made-to-measure in every way.
  4. Your new smile. Your dentures are ready to wear, providing you with a strong and sturdy tooth replacement solution to living with gaps in your smile/loose dentures.
